It is specifically designed according to the problems of traditional rotary dryer which is not suitable for high-moisture materials that MC is higher than 50% and the viscosity is relatively low. Meanwhile since the ‘black hole’ phenomenon occurring in the drum lowers the drying capacity and raises the energy consumption, the paddle rotary dryer sets high-speed spinning paddles, strengthening the crushing and separating function. The crushing effect enlarges the contact surface of particles, which largely increase the heat transfer rate and vaporization rate. According to the practical test, the unit vaporization capacity per hour of paddle rotary dryer is as much as 25-60kg/m2, which is twice of traditional rotary dryer. The output is raised by 50% and fuel consumption is reduced by 30%. At the same time, the footprint and drying efficiency is raised by 40%. It is applicable for the drying process of high-moisture materials with 50%-65% moisture, such as wood chips, sawdust, bamboo chips, wood shavings, barley straw, oat straw, wheat straw, rye straw, rice straw, sorghum straw, corn stalks, corn bran, potato vines, beans stalk and peanut vine. Wet materials (50% - 65% moisture) are delivered to the drum for concurrent drying process through screw conveyor. Wet materials are lifted up and down by the internal flights and pushed through three layers in spiraling pattern. The agitator installed inside drum can completely shatter and blend wet materials, which realizes full heat exchange between cool materials and heated air. The dry materials could pass through the drum quickly under the air force. Wet materials would be dropped gradually and get fully dried. The dry materials would be delivered out of the systems through screw conveyor. Inside the drum, there are vibration cleaning device, which could prevent the adhesion between materials and drum surface.
Cool air is compressed into furnace through blower and heated to 600℃ to 650℃. Then the heated air taken into the drum by draught fan would exchange the heat with wet materials, absorb the moisture and get delivered out of the drum with the temperature reduction of 55℃ to 60℃. The exhaust gas will be dealt with cyclone dust extractor and wet dust extractor, which would eventually meet the exhaustion requirement.
